After 1 year, as my postpaid group members moved, i switched to att prepaid. Now when i asked them unlock they said i have to do through customer care. (Though i paid for phone in store).
Worst customer service experience... I would prefer not to Visit this store.. Visited the store multiple times for same problem.. Never they helped before 45 min & the executives here behave like they are doing some charity work for us.. Being a loyal customer for more than 8 yrs feels like s****

Please be warned that they are only willing to help you if they are going to make a sale. Do not waste your time with this company.
No change no improvement still worst customer experience here .. be very careful while talking to these guys. Some try to twist their words and confuse you. They will even make you think u might have said that
AT&T has progressively deteriorated over the last few years and my family had decided it was time to make the move. We were told that we needed to go into the store to close the account. When there, they were unwilling to help me because I was not the account holder. When my father arrived to help, they told him that he had to call to close the account and then the man helping us WALKED AWAY. When my dad called they told him that he needed to go into the store because they could not verify who he was. When we approached the man again to help us, he said and I quote "you are no longer an at&t customer so I do not need to help you." Are you kidding? We still had an account, and what type of company treats any customer like that?

It is disappointing that google doesn't allow you to give 0 stars. The customer service at this store is appalling and they talk to you as if you owe them something.
When i checked in online, the unlock requests is denied as i have to be for 6 months in prepaid.
We walked across the mall to Verizon and they were more willing to help. Unfortunately with the service that we received from AT&T we will never even consider going back to the company.
Uninformed, uneducated, or incompetent - you pick the phrase. In the BW Commons store yesterday to port a phone number from Tracfone to AT&T. All 4 associates said it cannot be done, Tracfone won't allow it. They wanted me to get a new phone #, and tried to sell me an iPad too. I left and went to the nearby AT&T store in Raritan, and 20 minutes later my phone # was ported and I left with my new working iPhone.
You would be lucky if the staff knew the answer to anything... and you would be even luckier if they were nice to you. They should be working extra hard since AT&T's coverage is terrible to begin with. I left for a different carrier after dealing with them.
Strange. What kind of terms and conditions and the customer support.
I recommend anyone buy unlocked device and thrn use the operators.
