The ONLY gym to go to! The atmosphere isn't intimidating at all and very motivational. They have an awesome variety of machines, free weights, cardio equipment and classes. The staff escalates the environment with their knowledge and willingness to help. Perfect place to spend my time working out.
I had high hopes after the owner responded to my review that things would change but unfortunately yesterday morning the opening employee did not show up AGAIN to open the gym at 5am. At 5:15 a personal trainer phoned an employee that he knew had a key to the gym and she came to open the doors. If the owners cannot find a responsible and reliable employee to show up on time and manage their facility at 5am then they should bear responsibility of opening THEIR gym on time.
I've been a long time member of this gym dating back to when it was Powerhouse. I had high expectations when Gold's Gym took over. They renovated the gym completely and have been maintaining the equipment. The number one complaint I have and the 25-30 other members that consistently show up daily at 5am is they do not have a reliable employee that opens the gym on time. When the members voice their dissatisfaction the owners do not value their customer's opinions and disregard their complaints. When a business has posted hours of operation they should abide by those hours. This has been a consistent issue since the the gym changed ownership to Gold's Gym. Your lack of consideration for your member's time and daily schedule is disheartening. You should value your members and realize their commitment to your facility is what allows your gym to continue to operate.
I've been a member of many gyms throughout the years and without a doubt this Gold's Gym (Bridgewater, NJ) is the best. I've been a member for several years - and I have nothing but great things to say. The gym owners really care about their clients and the experience delivered by having the best equipment and a top notch training staff. They're always looking at ways to make improvements - buying new equipment, making renovations (replacing tiles, carpet), and deploying the latest technology (implementing the heart rate monitor throughout the gym). This gym is much more than a place to maintain my fitness -- it's a family atmosphere where members participate together in fitness challenges, Spartan races, mud runs, biking races and more.
