I have had Synchrony Bank for a few years. Love the interest rates. I just have money saved don't use it and collect. All other bank give you ZERO interest. So all these negative reviews amaze me. Read the account rules and your account wont be closed or affect your credit.
Worst bank around! No one speaks English!! Took 35 min to get someone that speaks English and that was in the USA!! I paid my credit card off 45 days ago and because I haven't used my card in 30 days they closed my card!! They are ruining peoples credit scores. I can't even believe this as this is a big bank that has many stores that they issue credit cards for. Stay away from opening a credit card if the bank is Sychrony Bank!!
I've had a great experience so far. the negative reviews sound like most people have issues with credit cards or loans. I have used this online bank exclusively for the high interest savings account and have been satisfied. the only time i had a cust. svc issue, it was taken care of via the "chat feature" quickly. Hope more positive experiences in the future for everyone
DO NOT USE SYNCHRONY!!!!!! I had a $700 limit with them through Lowes, paid ON TIME AND NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT for two years of having the card to just receive a notification they are closing my account. Why?? Because of a bill that I owed on my report from 6 years ago!! Ok so I spend THOUSANDS of dollars at Lowe’s, always paid them and you close my account over one thing that happened years ago?!! Again, DO NOT USE THEM!!!!! You will be sorry!!!! Just read the reviews online abt them. Shame on you Lowe’s for using such a poor managed company! You BOTH lost a customer!!!
$10000 loan, paid about $130/month for 6 months for a total of $780. Balance was still over $9800. $580 interest/fees in just 6 months time! The one $27 fee was due to being late maybe 2 days. Customer service? Took about 10 minutes to get out of automation to a human being. Clearly a large busy call center in India. Very nice people there, but I bet Synchrony Bank is taking advantage of them by paying them pennies on the dollar wages.
